The President of Europe has begun well with a tart display of attitude:
"I await anxiously my first phone call,"
he remarked in answer to 'Kissinger's Question'.

'I saw the angel in the marble and carved until I set him free'

Interesting that you anticipate the no-doubt-intended change of the title.
Legally, he is the President of the European Commission - not (yet) the president of Europe.
And in fact, he is not even legally that until December 1st when the constitution takes effect.
But when did legality ever stop these people? After all, the current commission is out of its term and operating without legal authority.
I thought he was President of the European Council which is the new "official" committee of heads of member governments. The Commission is an entirely separate thing, isn't it?
The Eyes have it.
Indeed BE, you are correct. I fired from the hip, so to speak. Mea culpa.
But he's still not president of europe, anyway.
