HG, perhaps you can give us a precis or highlights when you've read it. Plenty of ego in Luther, I suspect; and surely he rose with the help of supporters and protectors. Perhaps he was merely the jeweller's tool placed by others on the shear line of the diamond.

My extend-Nietzsche project - poke at the consciousness of others to evince their capacities and formulated communications systems rather than limiting myself to using my own has made him suspicious (as any good teacher would be) that some of us are superficially polished by the public knowledge and powers of others being imputed to our inadequately formulated communications.
