Inequality Delivered by the Labour Party

Job-seeker's allowance is just under £60 a week. If you are married and registered unemployed that's your lot for you and your family. Lots of means-tested benefits will be denied you if you have any savings at all.

You and I have been paying Mr and Mrs Balls £100 a week and more just for their food bills. For years and years. And they are fully employed, by us.

The Golden Couple have got off extremely lightly in the expenses row. This suggests to me that they have extremely good connections with the MSM and can ensure that the flack is directed at cannon fodder like Hazel Blears.

Both parties are doing this. Douglas Hogg has had to endure the most intense scrutiny for the moat thing, but he didn't actually claim anything for cleaning his moat - he just listed it to show how much his property cost to maintain overall. Cameron no doubt is glad to see the back of him, because we know that like him whom he aspires to be heir to, 'Dave' doesn't want anyone too independent as a Conservative MP.
