The Leader of the Labour group in the Scottish parliament has confessed to breaking electoral law - law that might be thought of central importance in governing the behaviour of a politician. The Electoral Commission has stated it would not be in the public interest to prosecute her.
So who are they to be making public statements about the public interest and pretending to exclusive powers to decide on prosecution?
