Burke and Hare are stepping out again. How long before Brown's £20,000 tax on the estates of the minimally prudent, the decent, those who have sought to ensure they are not a burden on their families in old age and death, attracts the right to die, the assisted suicide, the helping-them-on-their-way, brigade?
Gosh, I wouldn't like to be old and frail in the United Kingdom.

HG,
Indeed; and if you haven't, and want to get more depressed, read The Huntsman's article linked to by you.
That done, read Danny Finkelstein's article from The Times - Brown the Liar
and pour yourself a large gin to recover.
It's a horror show, and Cameron is as much use as a wet blanket.
Huntsman isn't usually depressing E, he clops about looking at the bigger picture on a large, flarey-nostrilled horse.
Still, I have a vodka in hand (couldn't find the gin so this will have to do), and found after one sip that I had strongish feelings about General Motors and Opel.
Mr Cameron must have our vote; and to balance things out we must vote for the best candidate in local elections, who may be of any party or none.
