Plastic bags are the classical euthanasia tool. I will give one to him, if asked, together with the contempt.
You have found the reason for his fearless attack upon all plastic bags, C, for him they are both threat and temptation.
Brown must spend every waking moment thinking how to rob us. He is leaning on supermarkets to charge 5p/bag. If you do the sums this will net him £114 million in VAT on the 13 billion bags we use per year.
And he has less than a month to wait for doubling the tax rate on the poorest people in the country - that should send them cap in hand to his dole servers, and teach them to whom their forelocks should be tugged before they get their own money back.
And no doubt he will deliver this grave message to his beloved subjects through his usual medium, Blue Peter.
Why are parents and/or teachers permitting this use of their children, Elby? We wouldn't allow such people within miles of our children. What's all this children subtext going on.
Pity his daddy did not use one of those plastic bag thingies on that fateful night....
I was very impressed by the Daily Mail, which is "leading" the campaign against plastic bags deciding to wrap its issue yesterday in a plasic bag.
