Gordon Brown told Labour's conference that the world had "spun on its axis" in the last week and a "new settlement" was needed to avoid a repetition.
"... we haven't seen anything this big since the industrial revolution.
"This last week will be studied by our children - as the week the world spun on its axis and old certainties were turned on their heads."
The Earth used to do it daily but with Jonah Brown anything can happen.

Ah! This explains why the water in my sink now drains counter clockwise...
PS: My Yahoo home page tells me that the frogs have bought over our power supplies, so (the other) Mr Brown at least should be in a good mood.
Selling off the sites for nuclear power stations doesn't sound sensible but perhaps there is more to it than can be seen from the outside. It would be politic to explain this decision though I would have thought, Nomad.
