Stuck Up North

The olives having been picked by  plumbers, accountants, bar-owners, professors;  and last year by the same plus philosophers, linguisticians, advertising executives,  hunters, editors,  seamstresses, lawyers, musicians, why on earth can't people from the north of England pick cherries?

Because Clone-of-Blair leads the Previously-Conservative, but now just another PC party.

The rail fare alone would probably wipe out their wages.

True, S. It's cheaper to fly to Tuscany than travel on an English train.

Oh yes. Don't get me started. The fact is that now, after 13 years of the ghastlies, who love nothing more than to get offended on behalf of those who either weren't, or couldn't be bothered to be, if the truth about something might offend, it must be suppressed.

Witness Mr. Flyte. Witness Boris on Liverpool; I have a Scouse friend, as Scouse as Scouse could be, docker's son and ex-football hoolie, who noted that Boris was spot on in his observations on the lachrymose Liverpudlians.

It makes me want to go out and be offensive.
