The NSPCC is demanding that pupils should not be touched by their teachers while being taught to play musical instruments.
What are they going to do about this sort of thing then? Touching fingers is as nothing to the touching of the emotions and the soul that goes on. Some keys must be banned, clearly, And what about composers? They do it on purpose, you know, touch. They're worse than the teachers.

Beyond bonkers into downright dangerous. I despair.
Anyone would despair after listening to the f minor Elby.
Bach. When asked to justify the human race, this lifelong hippy, rock 'n roller and non-Christian replies "The Matthew Passion".
My ex and I went to see the OAE perform the Christmas Oratorio in Bristol on Friday night. It was, as you would expect, sublime. St. George's is a very intimate place to witness music, the soloists only a few feet in front of us, and a friend we have who plays with them tells us it is by far their favourite venue. We are lucky to have it. Sound the trumps!
A problem.
I'll never forget a first year recorder player bursting into tears and weeping through an entire lecture at the RCM when we were played, and then were asked to analyse, this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j8enypX74hU&feature=related
But going back to Bach, here's one that can't leave you untouched: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XIXPfOVUHog&feature=related
have a listen, I bet you crumple by the end of the first phrase
Crumple experienced 'A musician'!
Also understand the Nina Stemme piece; I think I'd have collapsed at that as well!
For me? this, probably because of the film.
