One of the greats. Send not to know for whom the bell tolls, etc etc.

He doesn't seem to have been an easy man to work with, though; comparisons have been drawn with Richter - another towering genius now lost to us.

I had the privilege to hear him a number of times, Yacht. But never met him.

Difficult? No hint of that in his playing which would have been the greater part of him.
