Thank Goodness for the Take-or-Pay Contracts
Libya has shut down the flow of gas to Italy. Fortunately the contracts with Russian suppliers are there and very much more attractive than they seemed when signed. Take is the order of the day and dinner is being cooked, showers taken and the lights are on. And cheap too.

You have gas lamps? My gran had those in her 1800s house - and I was always getting the blame for breaking the gauze mantles.
Moreover, I still recall this delightful ditty from those long gone days.
Gas-fired power stations, Nomad, sadly no gas lamps.
