At a time when the regime he leads has exposed the tax-payer to over a trillion pounds of debt, has watched the pound lose a third of its value, presides over the widespread loss of pensions and savings, is condemned by the Governor of the Bank of England, the head of the Financial Services Authority; as hundreds of thousands are dismissed from their jobs and millions more face unemployment this year as they did last; is discovered to have delivered up people for torture, has destroyed both individual civil rights and grossly undermined the Union of the United Kingdom, Gordon Brown, Leader of the Labour party is at last about to address the elected representatives of the people - both Houses.
